The Pascua Yaqui Office of Emergency Management was established in May 2021 by Tribal Council Resolution No. C05-137-21 and Ordinance No. 20-21 to be responsible for overseeing incidents caused by natural and/or man-made disasters or emergencies, and to provide departmental and community education and assistance in conjunction with Emergency Response Organizations in providing services to governmental offices, the community at large and surrounding areas.
To reduce or eliminate the impact of natural, man-made, and technological disasters through comprehensive emergency management that promotes preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation from all-hazards, all-threats, in order to protect lives, property, and damage to the environment.
